Artsy-Fartsy On the Way
IWTB was kind enough to drive me to the airport and I decided to try to capture the passing lights at 5 a.m.

I had a 2 hour layover in Vegas on my way home. Sittin' there playing with my laptop and looked up and noticed a really cool reflection happening on the window. There were multiple layers of glass and that made it kind of echo. I thought it was cool anyway.

This is my Theme Thursday entry. It's the sign that you're in Vegas. It was very strange. You walk off the plane and immediately hear the noises and dings and clanks of slot machines. They're everywhere, including all the terminals!

Whenever I see one of these signs it makes me laugh. Maybe it's just my overactive imagination, but I always picture the driveway getting up and attacking something. Watch out! or the driveway will get ya! Yeah I know, I'm weird.

OK, so if everyone pretends it's still Monday it will be right? So, on three let's all pretend...
one...
two...
three...
Poof!
There, it's Monday. What? It isn't? Are you sure? Oh well, it was worth a try anyway.
Here's some pictures I took on Monday, but didn't have time to upload until Tuesday. I was having fun with long exposures while in a moving vehicle (a very BOUNCY moving vehicle!)

This one I flipped to negative in PhotoShop and really liked that way! So, I'm posting it.

This is the inside of one of those tubes that takes your money up and into the bank. I stuck my camera inside one and snapped away.

My parents just got back from a trip to Japan. They were visiting missionaries and one of them gave them a couple packages of these things. I have no idea what they're called, but apparently they're a common snack over there. One of the missionary kids eats them constantly. Personally I have to say ICK! But, to each his own I guess. And yes, they really are little fishies.

When Syn and I were geocaching last weekend we passed this restaurant. All I could think was, Do they eat Linux in there? Yeah, I know. I'm a dork.

Menards is based in my home town. The guy that owns it is not the greatest guy, but the fountains in front of Menards HQ were great fodder for photos. There's these two huge fountains in front of the building, during the summer they're really pretty. In the winter thought, they freeze (this is Wisconsin after all) and for some reason he doesn't turn them off! So, we end up with these huge ice block things. Very funny looking.

I saw this car the other day. I'm thinking that whomever it belongs to is just a little too into Easter! Kinda scared me.
It's probably just me, but this sign made me laugh.

I think it's the hole being dug in the hand that seems odd to me. But then again, maybe I'm just weird... (you can stop laughing now)
I was at the pharmacy the other day picking up my meds refill. They were a little behind and I had to sit and wait for a few minutes. 90% of the time I have a book in my purse. Of course that day I didn't. I ended up just poking around and looking at stuff. I ended up taking a picture of one particular item. It's in a popup image which I don't usually do because I wanted you to read all this first! Now, when you look at the picture I want you to say the name of the product, imagine how it's pronounced. Then look at what it's used for...

I took this picture on July 27 just outside the little city in southern Minnesota, Glenville. Apparently no one in town has a calendar as this clumb of shrubs was all decked out for a certain winter holiday.
First get one of those air duster cans. Turn it upside down and spray into a cup of some sort. Liquid will come out.

Collect a bunch of it in a cup. Frost will cover the sides and it'll steam. It's quite interesting looking!

I think it looks kind of lonely, like it's waiting for someone.

Elderly crossings and Big Blue Bugs. I know the quality on the bug one is really low, but that'll happen when you take a picture out the window of the car while you're going 60 mph on the freeway and not looking at your camera.

That'd better be some pretty darn good shampoo at that price!

Yeah, I know. It's ice. But do you know where the ice is?
Here's another shot of it.

I came home yesterday and discovered my cutting board had split down the middle. No idea how. It's very strange.
I thought it was a little odd that these two buildings are right next to each other. With nothing else really nearby. The closest thing is a restaurant at the other end of the parking lot.
I probably could have used this one for the "wrong" theme as well. Is it pure water? Or is it a dump station? It's both!

If a person needs the picture menu, doesn't that imply they can't read? So then how would they know to ask for it at the window?

Just experimenting with looking through the windshield while it's raining.

This thing was hanging out in my apartment last night when I got home from work. It's at least 3 inches across. All leg though, the body is really tiny. Very weird bug!

Even though I'm on vacation I felt like doing a little meme work today... so for the Thursday Challenge we have a container for wine. (I tried it, I'll stick with Coke thanks!)

This is a multi-purpose shot! When it's hot out and the heat and humidity get crazy, this is what happens to my hair!

I realize this doesn't make a lot of sense to anyone but me, but when confronted by the Chinese Soup Spoon, one just has to take it's picture!

I am completely blaming Wendy for this.
If you're really really curious, there's a bigger version of the file here (pops)
