This week's Photo Time challenge is: Glass

I actually took this last summer. One of the last surviving parts of the old building reflecting the building as it was being torn down.

This is the first shot I've ever taken of a butterfly that I didn't completely hate, so I'm posting it! He took off just as I snapped, so it's Monarch in Motion.

It's Theme Thursday time (even though it's Friday) This week's theme is: Bubbles

and this one too, because it's huge and it took me forever to get a shot of one of the big ones!

It's time for Photo Friday! I know, it's Saturday. But I had a really hard time coming up with a picture for this week's challenge: Aged

This is Duckie. I have had her since literally the day I was born. So she has aged right along with me! Her fur isn't nearly as yellow as it used to be, but she's actually still in pretty good shape. I'll try to find the pictures of her in my cradle in the hospital at the parental household tomorrow and scan those in too.

I was looking through family photos to find a picture of baby me with my duckie from the previous post and came across this picture of all four of us from shortly after my little brother was born. That's me with all the curly red hair. I had to resist the urge to scan in lots more!

On to the duckie pictures. The first two are me in the hospital with Duckie and the last one is me at home in my cradle with him (her? how do you know the sex of a stuffed animal?)

This week's Phototime theme is: Holey

This is a wind chime that hangs on the porch at my apartment. It belongs to my landlords obviously. Now that I think about it, it's really more of a wind thunk than a wind chime. But it makes a really cool thunk noise!

I think it looks kind of lonely, like it's waiting for someone.

This little thing is sprouting out of the top of a huge pile of dirt at a big contruction area near the main mall here. It's the only tree around and it just looked so pitiful! I wonder if it somehow was missed, or if someone put it there on purpose. And why? It's obviously going to need to be ripped out as it is right in the middle of the area that is under construction.

Taking a good picture of Mione is difficult because she's such a light color. But I just couldn't resist snapping this one of her and her mommy Syn. Mione has a thing for shinny anything!

I haven't been blogging the last week or so, and I haven't been taking pictures either. So for this week's Phototime I'm going with a shot I took for the 26 Things scavenger hunt. The theme this week is: Communication

I had fun getting this shot. I used an almost completely black room and a long exposure (16 seconds) and left my hands in each letter's spot for 3 or 4 seconds to let the camera register it before moving again. So there ya go!

It's time for Theme Thursday this week's theme is: It's All Good, things that make us smile when we look through the viewfinder.

I know it's expected, but I just had to post a shot of Dolce. He always makes me smile.

It's now time for Photo Friday. This week's challenge is: Heights

This is the western shore of Lake Michigan from a plane coming in to land at O'Hare. (Quite a high height!) This shot really doesn't capture it all that well, but I loved the way the sand and silt looked drifting out into the lake.
